Our client in the services industry requires the expertise of a well-seasoned Human Resources Manager (Generalist). The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. In addition, they will have to maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Minimun Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience

  • 5+ years' experience as a Human Resources Manager

  • Knowledge of labour related legislation i.e. BCEA, LRA, SDA & EEA

  • Multilingual due to the blue-collar workers that struggle to communicate with Managers in English (African languages)

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Handle Bargaining Council and CCMA litigation

  • Negotiate with unions on behalf of the company and employees at regional level

  • Co-ordinate Employee Assistance Program events and interventions at the regional level

  • Produce monthly and ad hoc reports on HR related activities

  • Assist employees with resolving day-to-day HR, Payroll, benefit related queries

  • Facilitate on-time monthly payroll input for the region

  • Represent HR at the management meetings

  • Assist in the implementation of specific change management interventions

  • Roll out project-related HR initiatives

  • Drive compliance with regards to the Employment Equity Act for the region

  • Conduct exit interviews
